(Belmer Road, Elsenham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Belmer Road, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 200m south east of its junction with Tye Green Lane for a distance of approximately 200m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGOWL74T – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Belmer Road, Tye Green Road, Fullers Lane, Hall Road, Elsenham Road, Waltham Hall Road, Parsonage Road, B1256, A120, B1383, B1051, Church Road, Burton End Road, Belmer Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hampit Road, Arkesden)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hampit Road, Arkesden in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 150m north west of its junction with Church Hill for a distance of approximately 45m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30082770985 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Church Hill, Quicksie Hill, Wenden Road, Arkesden Road, B1039 and vice versa (with access only into Bridge Green Road, Coopers End Road, Beards Lane, Duddenhoe End Road, Bridge Green Road and Hampit Road).
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Ickleton Road, Great Chesterford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ickleton Road, Great Chesterford in the District of Uttlesford, from the boundary line with South Cambridgeshire for a distance approximately 85 metres in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2025 for 1 night (22:00–06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701BGK-45-76-281025 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Ickleton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Mill End, Little Easton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill End, Little Easton in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 260m north west of its junction with B184 Dunmow Road for a distance of approximately 255m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG6FFH6W – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while RTM works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Duck Street, Dunmow Road, Duton Hill, Cherry Street, Stanbrook Road, B1051, B184 Dunmow Road, Mill End and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tye Green Road, Elsenham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tye Green Road, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 330m north west of its junction with Tye Green Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd November 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG0WL37X – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Tye Green Road, Fullers Lane, Hall Road, Elsenham Road, Waltham Hall Road, Parsonage Road, B1256, A120, B1383, B1051, Church Road, Burton End Road, Belmer Road, Tye Green Road and vice versa.

(Old Mead Road, Elsenham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Old Mead Road, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with New Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly then north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06157092JB – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water main works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via B1051, Mill Road, Crow Street, Church Street, Hall Road and vice versa (with access only into Station Road and Old Mead Road).
The Order came into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pipers Lane, Littlebury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pipers Lane, Littlebury in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Batts Lane for a distance of approximately 170m in a north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG5HFC4G – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
No diversion route is available.
The Order came into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
