Gloucestershire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C206 ASHMEAD (CAM PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C206 Ashmead Road from its junction with Cam Green to outside the Allotment Gardens for a distance of approximately 105 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for pipe renewal works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22nd October 2025 until 24th October 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C375 BRADLEY STREET (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C375 Bradley Street from its junction with Westfields to outside of the property known as ‘No. 4 Bradley Street’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water connection works by Severn Trent Water

The said road is expected to be closed from 20th October 2025 to 22nd October 2025. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4060 GLOUCESTER STREET (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4060 Gloucester Street from its junction with Bear Street to outside of the property known as No.18 Gloucester Street for a distance of approximately 145 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water connection works on behalf of Severn Trent Water

The said road is expected to be closed from 23rd October 2025 to 24th October 2025. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART FOOTPATH CCA 28 (CAM PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has further extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath CCA 28 Cam from next to the electricity substation and then extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 385 metres to its junction with the old railway line.

The path falls within the Parish of Cam in the Stroud District, Gloucestershire

The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst construction works take place.

This Temporary Closure Order came into force on the 11th October 2023 and authorised the closure for a period of six months. However, as the works had not been completed within this time The Secretary of State granted an extension of the said Order until the 11th October 2025. As the works are still not complete the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension until 11th October 2027 or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.
