What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY HSU 5 (UPPER SLAUGHTER PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Bridleway HSU 5 from its junction with Lower Swell Road to its junction with Snowshill Road in a generally southerly direction for approximately 1000 metres to its junction with Public Footpath HSU 8.
The Public Bridleway falls within the Parish of Upper Slaughter in the Cotswold District, in the County of Gloucestershire.
The closure is necessary to safeguard the public while Ash Die Back tree felling takes place.
The Order will come into force on the 11th October 2025. It is expected that the Public Bridleway will remain closed until the 11th April 2026. This Order can remain in force for six months. If a longer period of time is required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4035 PAXFORD ROAD (CHIPPING CAMPDEN TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4035 Paxford Road from its junction with Clay Lane to its junction with the Lane to The Lilacs for a distance of approximately 859 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for building works to a damaged wall.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4479 STATION ROAD (BLOCKLEY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4479 Station Road from outside the Northcot Business Park entrance for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a northerly direction.
The reason for the said closure is for water connection works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted from 20th October 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate where they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 31st March 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
