Teesdale Way – Temporary Closure Of Public Right Of Way Order

What is happening?

REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
ESTON PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.2 (TEESDALE WAY – SOUTH BANK STATION TO TEES DOCK ROAD)
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ORDER NO 2 2025

Not less than 7 days herefrom the Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). The Order is necessary to safeguard the public during a bridge replacement.

The effect of this Order will be to prohibit the public from using approximately 2.1km of the above footpath between Southbank Station at grid reference NZ 533212 to Tees Dock Road grid reference NZ 553221 

The Order will come into operation on 26.11.25 and will remain in operation for 6 months. It is anticipated that an application for an extension of this period will be necessary due to the nature of the works being undertaken. 

The alternative route is to follow the footway along Puddlers Lane, join the A66 footway and then the footway alongside Tees Dock Road and rejoin the footpath at the footbridge to Grangetown Station.
