Clacton on Sea, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(High Street, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Carnarvon Road to its junction with Chapman Road a distance of approximately 55m.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110121817 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains reinforcement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Carnarvon Road, Skelmersdale Road, Chapman Road or Chapman Road, Station Road and Carnarvon Road.

The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Holland Park/Eastcliff Avenue, Clacton-On-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Holland Park, Clacton-On-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Holland Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction.

  2. To temporarily close that length of Eastcliff Avenue, Clacton-On-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Holland Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.

These closures are scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001441196 & AZ5011001445995 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. These closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Alternative routes are available via

  1. B132, Boley Drive and vice versa (with access only into Holland Road).

  2. Third Avenue, Marine Parade East, Connaught Gardens East, B132 and vice versa (with access only into Eastcliff Avenue).

The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ladbrooke Road, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ladbrooke Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 25m south east of its junction with Munnings Drive for a distance of approximately 55m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG9DV70N – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

No diversion route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
