What is happening?

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.

The Order is necessary in the interest of Safety for Neath Port Talbot Operatives carrying out highways resurfacing works, and maintenance works in the highway it will be necessary to temporarily close the above road to vehicular traffic.

The Order will come into force on the 27th October 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner. It is estimated that the works will take 7 days to complete under night time closures between 8.00pm to 6.00am.

SCHEDULE
A483 Fabian Way East and West Bound lanes will be closed from the junction with the B4290 Ashleigh Terrace in an Easterly direction for approximately a distance of 1.8km along its length.
