What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE

AND AMEND WATING RESTRICTIONS ON AND AROUND

SOUTHCOURT ROAD AND SOUTHCOURT AVENUE, LINSLADE

Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and For facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians). More specifically, the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junctions are not obstructed by parked vehicles.

Effect of the Order:

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 10am and 11am with No Waiting from Monday to Sunday between 10am and 12pm on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Southcourt Avenue, north-west side, from a point approximately 21 metres northeast of the dashed junction markings of Southcourt Avenue and Himley Green and extending westwards for approximately 217 metres ending at a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 30 and No. 32 Southcourt Avenue.

2. Southcourt Road, west side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 16 and No. 20 Southcourt Road and extending northwards for approximately 105 metres, ending at a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 5 Southcourt Road and No. 55 Springfield Road.

3. Southcourt Avenue, eastern spur, south side, from the junction with Southcourt Road and Southcourt Avenue and extending eastwards for approximately 92 metres, terminating at a point where the road surface changes.

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm with No Waiting from Monday to Sunday between 7am and 7pm on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1.  Southcourt Avenue, north side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 30 and No. 32 Southcourt Avenue and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 60 metres, continuing onto Southcourt Road and ending at a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 16 and No. 20 Southcourt Road. To replace No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 2pm and 3pm with No Waiting from Monday to Sunday between 2pm and 4pm on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Southcourt Road, east side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 5 Southcourt Road and No. 55 Springfield Road and extending in a southwards for approximately 128 metres, terminating at the junction with Southcourt Avenue and the eastern spur of Southcourt Avenue.

2. Southcourt Avenue, eastern spur, north side, from the junction with Southcourt Road and Southcourt Avenue and extending eastwards for approximately 92 metres, terminating at a point where the road surface changes.

3. Southcourt Avenue, south side, from the junction with Southcourt Road and the eastern spur of Southcourt Avenue and extending south westerly for approximately 245 metres to a point approximately 21 metres northeast of the dashed junction markings of Southcourt Avenue and Himley Green.

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 2pm and 3pm with No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Barnabas Road, west side, from the junction with Southcourt Avenue and extending in a southeasterly direction for 10 metres.

2. Southcourt Avenue, southwest side, from the junction with Barnabas Road and extending in a south westerly direction for 10 metres

3. Southcourt Avenue, southwest side, from the junction with Barnabas Road and extending in a north easterly direction for 10 metres

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Friday between 10am and 11am with No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Barnabas Road, east side, from the junction with Southcourt Avenue and extending in a southeasterly direction for 10 metres.

2. Rock Lane, south side, from the junction with Southcourt Road and extending in a north westerly direction following the curvature of the kerb for approximately 15 metres.

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm with No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Linslade:-

1. Southcourt Road, west side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 5 Southcourt Road and No. 55 Springfield Road and extending in a north easterly direction for approximately 11 metres, up to the junction with Rock Lane.

2. Springfield Road, west side, from the junction with Rock Lane and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 11 metres, up to a point in line with the common property boundary between No. 53 and No. 53A Springfield Road.

3. Southcourt Road, east side, from a point approximately in line with the common property boundary between No. 5 Southcourt Road and No. 55 Springfield Road and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 45 metres, continuing onto Springfield Road and terminating at a point in line with the common property boundary between No. 53 and No. 53A Springfield Road.

4. Rock Lane, north side, from the junction with Springfield Road and extending in north-westerly direction for approximately 11 metres, ending approximately 3 metres northwest of the western flank wall of No. 62 Springfield Road.
