THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(ROAD PAST SUNNY LYN HOLIDAY PARK, LYNTON) ORDER 2025
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 6/10/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 17/10/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: ROAD PAST SUNNY LYN HOLIDAY PARK, LYNTON.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Road Past Sunny Lyn Holiday Park - Barbrook Road - Road From Cherrybridge Cross To Manor Farm - Road From Windypost Cross To West Lyn Farm - Road From Windypost Cross To Lyn Cross - Road From Lyn Cross To Hillsford Bridge - Watersmeet Road - Road From Watersmeet Road To Lynbridge Road - Lynbridge Road - Road Past Sunny Lyn Holiday Park.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: LEAD REPLACEMENT SCHEME - LEAD REPLACEMENT TO RESOLVE WATER QUALITY ISSUES.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 10/11/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 31/12/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected

Roads. Roads affected: PITT LANE, APPLEDORE.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - PITT LANE - WOODA ROAD - CHURCHILL WAY RICHMOND ROAD - PITT HILL - PITT LANE.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Construct 1200Mm Diameter Pcc Manhole Chambers At Reference Points S3, S2 & S1, Then Lay New Twinwall Plastic Pipe Mh To Mh. Multiple Trial Holes Will Have To Be Excavated Where Existing Services Cross The Proposed Route.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Lead Replacement To Resolve Water Quality Issues.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - NORTHDOWN ROAD, NORTHAM ROAD, NORTH VIEW AVENUE, VICE VERSA.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: LEAD REPLACEMENT TO RESOLVE WATER QUALITY ISSUES.

(A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025
TEMPORARY 10MPH SPEED LIMIT

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 29/9/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 10/10/25. Between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 10 miles per hour on the sections of the Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place. 

Roads affected - A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE. From a point 170 metres West from entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 370 metres West of that entrance. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 40 miles per hour on the sections of the Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place.

Roads affected - A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE. From entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 170 metres West of the entrance. From a point 370 metres West from entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 540 metres West of that entrance. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING.
