What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HATLEY ROAD, POTTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hatley Road, Potton outside Poultry Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B1042, Sutton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 October 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(THORNCOTE ROAD, HATCH; THORNCOTE ROAD NORTHILL; THORNCOTE GREEN, HATCH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thorncote Road, Hatch; Thorncote Road, Northill and Thorncote Green, Htach between Bedford Road and Brook End.

This temporary closure is required to enable vac pot maintenance worsk to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 21 October 2025 between 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Thorncote Road, Ickwell Road, Northill Road, Caldecote Road, Ickwell Road, Vinegar Hill, Hatch Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (PARK ROAD AND ST JOHNS ROAD,

MOGGERHANGER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Park Road, Moggerhanger from number 9 to junction with St Johns Road and St Johns Road, Moggerhanger from number 65 to junction with Bedford Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable infiltration works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 27 October 2025.

The alternative route for this closure is via the A603.

The Order will come into operation on 6 October 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

Notice of Making of Public Path Orders CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (POTTON: PART

OF FOOTPATH NO. 12) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order made on 26 September 2025 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of Footpath No. 12, Potton.

The length of part of Footpath No. 12, Potton to be stopped up extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 11, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2231 5009 in a generally west-north-westerly direction for approximately 278 metres to terminate at an unaffected part of Footpath No. 12, Potton at OS GR TL 2208 5023.

The footpath is stopped up across its full width.

The length of part of Footpath No. 12, Potton to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 11, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS

GR) TL 2232 5018 in a generally westerly direction for approximately 238 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 12, Potton at OS GR TL 2208 5023.

The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

OF FOOTPATH NO. 12) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order was made on 26 September 2025 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert part of Footpath No. 12, Potton.

The length of part of Footpath No. 12, Potton to be stopped up extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 12, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2208 5023 in a generally northnorth-westerly direction for approximately 384 metres through Potton Quarry to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 13, Potton at OS GR TL 2196 5058.

The footpath is stopped up across its full width.

The length of part of Footpath No. 12, Potton to be created extends from its junction with an unaffected part of Footpath No. 12, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2208 5023 in a generally southsouth-easterly direction for approximately 77 metres to OS GR TL 2210 5017 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 66 metres to OS GR TL 2209 5011 then continues in a generally west-north-westerly direction for approximately 400 metres to OS GR TL 2171 5023 then continues in a generally northerly direction for approximately 122 metres to OS GR TL 2173 5035 then continues in a

northerly direction for approximately 13 metres to OS GR TL 2173 5036 then continues in a generally northerly direction for approximately 279 metres to terminate at its junction with Bridleway No. 13, Potton at OS GR TL 2171 5064.

The new length of footpath has a width of 2 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (POTTON: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO. 13) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025

The above Order was made on 26 September 2025 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert part of Bridleway No. 13, Potton.

The length of part of Bridleway No. 13, Potton to be stopped up extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 11, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2242 5048 in a generally west-north-westerly direction for approximately 360 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 13, Potton at OS GR TL 2207 5056.

The bridleway is stopped up across its full width.

The length of part of Bridleway No. 13, Potton to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 11, Potton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2252 5073 in a west-north-westerly direction for approximately 388 metres to OS GR TL 2214 5080 then continues in a south-south-westerly direction for approximately 252 metres to terminate at its junction with an unaffected part of Bridleway No. 13, Potton at OS GR TL 2207 5056.

The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.

The three Orders above relate to public rights of way around Potton Quarry. A copy of each of the three Orders above and the Order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford. Any representations about or objections to any of the three Orders above may be sent in writing to the Highway Assets Intelligence Team Leader, Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5QT or definitivemap@ centralbedfordshire.gov.uk not later than 7 November 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Representations and objections must include either a postal or e-mail address. Any representations or objections made will be in the public domain and will be available for viewing/copying by members of the public.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Central Bedfordshire Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order and will be made publicly available by either the Council or the Planning Inspectorate.
