What is happening?

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C341 Wannock Lane, Lower

Willingdon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Wannock Lane – from the junction with P8522 The Grove to the junction with U7732 Broad Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C341 Wannock Lane – C40 Wannock Road – A2270 Eastbourne Road – C341 The Triangle, Wannock Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 22 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 22 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C40 Jevington Road, Friston/

Jevington/Willingdon/Wannock)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Jevington Road – from the junction with C40 Wannock Road to the junction with A259 Friston Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Friston Hill, Eastbourne Road, East Dean Road, Church Street, High Street, The Goffs – A2270 Upperton Road, Willingdon Road, Crossways roundabout, Willingdon Road, Eastbourne Road – C40 Wannock Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 and 24 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C708 Hankham Hall Road,

Westham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Order 2025 No.3

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

Hankham Hall Road – from the junction with U7100 Peelings Lane to the junction with U7101 Foords Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C708 Hankham Hall Road, Hankham Street, Glynleigh Road – B2104 Hailsham Road – B2247 Dittons Road – C712 Rattle Road – C708 Gallows Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 6 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 and 7 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
