NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE ORDER SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a closure to the section of Public Footpath BA27/47 commencing from a junction with The Shallows at ST68716692 and proceeding in a generally ENE direction for approx 42m to ST68756694 and turning in a generally SE direction for approx 85m to ST68816689.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely drainage works to alleviate the issue of flooding on the section of the public footpath lying between The Shallows and Saltford Marina. The Order will come into force on 13 October 2025 and will be effective until 9 November 2025 (however the footpath will be opened sooner if the works are completed sooner).
