Mount Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Bishop's Lydeard Temporary Closure of Mount Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Mount Street - from the junction with Hither Mead, southwards for a total distance of 168 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas mains replacement works.
The Order becomes effective on 16th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 25th October 2025 and last until 2nd November 2025 between the hours of 00:00 -23:59 for a total of 9 days.
