Stanchester Way - Temporary Road Closure To Deliver Electrical Switch Gear Via Crane

Temporary Closure of Stanchester Way
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Stanchester Way - from outside property number 16 Stanchester Way, eastwards for a total distance of 45 metres.
This Order will enable National Grid Electricity Distribution to deliver electrical switch gear via crane.
The Order becomes effective on 16th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 22nd October 2025 and last until 22nd October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 14:30 for a total of 5 hours.
There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
