Dorset, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
Temporary Traffic Management Order of Clayton Close, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 October 2025. Works will be carried out between 0800hrs and 1800hrs with Sundays working from 0900hrs.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surfacing works and associated highway works.
The effect of this Order will be:-
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Clayton Close for its entirety.
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Clayton Close for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bridle Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
