What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Holt
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Holt as listed: [i] Grange between Hope Cottage and Primrose Cottage; [ii] Access Road to Grange Farm between Grange and Grange Hill House. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 October 2025. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer lining works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure of East Street, Wimborne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along East Street, Wimborne Minster between Park Lane and Poole Road, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 October 2025. This Order will enable UK Power Distribution Ltd, safe access to carry out electrical service installation works. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. The Dorset Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (Amendment No. 11) (Cowgrove Road, Pamphill and Wimborne Minster) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. When the Order comes into operation on 10th October 2025 the effect of the Order will be to introduce a “clearway” to prevent stopping or parking on the carriageway of Cowgrove Road, from its junction with St Margaret’s Hill (B3082) in a westerly direction for approximately 1.31 kilometres.
