What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. City Of Salford (Regent Street, Eccles, Salford) (Prohibition Of Waiting And Amendment) Order 2025

The Order will introduce the following: No Waiting At Any Time on: Regent St - North side, from its junction with Church Street, to the westerly projected kerbline of College Croft. South side, from its junction with Church Street, for a distance of 43.5m in an easterly direction. Existing Orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals. The Order will come into operation on the 2nd October 2025. A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested at phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or by writing to Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO BOX 532, Town Hall, Manchester M60 2LA quoting reference L/GS/ SCC006/01336. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 30th September 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
