Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its
powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AND TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREAS
A28 Hastings Road, Rolvenden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow safety critical works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A28 Hastings Road, Rolvenden from 27th October 2025, with estimated completion by 31st October 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with A268 Rye Road for a distance of 100m in a northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A268 Rye Road, A268 Queen Street, Megrims Hill, Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road, Gills Green, Hawkhurst Road, Hartley Road, B2086 Swattenden Lane, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road, The Street, Rolvenden Road, Benenden Road, A28 High Street, Hastings Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
