Provision Of Speed Humps – Longwood Gardens

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to construct speed humps and flat-top raised junction tables at the following locations:–

    (a) Longwood Gardens, outside Nos. 88–92 or thereabouts;

    (b) Longwood Gardens, at the junction with Queenborough Gardens;

    (c) Longwood Gardens, at the junction with Beattyville Gardens;

    (d) Longwood Gardens, outside Nos. 172–180 Longwood Parade or thereabouts;

    (e) Longwood Gardens, 12 metres north-east of Oakleafe Gardens or thereabouts.

  2. The speed humps (a), (d) and (e) would be of flat-top design, approximately 75 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 13.0 metres. The speed humps would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.

  3. The raised junction tables (b) and (c) would be of flat top design, approximately 75 millimetres at its highest point. The raised junction table would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.

  4. A copy of the plans showing the locations of the speed humps and raised junction table may be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays at the Information Centre, Lynton House,

    255–259 High Road, Ilford IG1 1NY.

    5. Any person wishing to object or make representation to the proposals should send a statement in writing of either their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation Strategy,

    by no later than 23rd October 2025.

    Road Traffic Regulation Act – Section 23

    Provision of Zebra Crossing – Longwood Gardens (near Abbotswood Gardens)

    1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved a proposal to install a zebra crossing on Longwood Gardens outside

      No. 90 Longwood Gardens, with associated tactile paving, zig-zags, belisha beacons and street lighting, in order to improve road safety.

    2. A copy of the plan showing the location of the proposed crossing may be inspected between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays at the Information Centre,

      Lynton House, 255–259 High Road, Ilford IG1 1NY.

    3. Any person wishing to object or make representations on the proposals should send a statement in writing of their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation Strategy,
