TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS, MICHELDEVER & SOUTH WONSTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 39 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to: (i) implement No stopping 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm Monday to Friday on school entrance restriction on the north side of Downs Road between a point 95 metres east of its junction with Wrights Close to a point 172 metres east of that junction; (ii) extend the no waiting at any time restrictions at the junction of Church Street and Duke Street northwards by approximately 22 metres; and (iii) implement no waiting at any time restrictions in the following locations

Stratton Lane | West | Between the intersection of the south side of Church Bank Road and the western side with Stratton Lane and a point 58 metres south of that point. |
Church Bank Road | North | Between the intersection of the northern side of Church Bank Road and the western side of Old Church Lane and a point 53 metres west of that point. |
Church Bank Road | South | Between the intersection of the south side of Church Bank Road and the western side with Stratton Lane and a point 36 metres west of that point. |
Junction of Old Church Lane and Embley Wood Lane | West | Between its junction with Church bank Road and a point 8 metres north of that point. |
The above proposals and the existing provisions of The Hampshire (Various Roads, Wonston and Micheldever) (Parking Places and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2010 and all of its variation orders will be revoked and included in this Order.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2094/KK, by Friday 24th October 2025. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and the public, who will be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Roads, Wonston and Micheldever) (Parking Places and Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2025.”
