Dudley - Temporary Road Closure & Road Traffic Restrictions

What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Orders,

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn) (Birmingham New Road) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle making a left turn from Birmingham New Road into Dudley Road, for the purpose of installing a HV cable being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 20.10.2025 and will remain in force until 26.10.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Birmingham New Road, Burnt Tree, Dudley Port, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, Sedgley Road West, and Dudley Road.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Maple Road, Dudley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Maple Road, Dudley, for the purpose of gas mains replacement works being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 20.10.2025 and will remain in force until 10.11.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Limes Road, Priory Road, Cedar Road, and vice versa.

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Edge Street, Coseley) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Edge Street, Coseley, for the purpose of safely facilitating new gas connections to new builds being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 20.10.2025 and will remain in force until 28.10.2025 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Wallbrook Street, Broad Street, Bridge Street, Edge Street, and vice versa.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
