Oake Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Testing Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Bradford-on-Tone Temporary Closure of Oake Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Oake Road - from 173 metres north-west of the junction with East Nynehead Road, northwestwards for a total distance of 178 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.

The Order becomes effective on 16th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 24th October 2025 and last until 24th October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
