What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY

The Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2003 (Amendment No. 236) Order 2025 The Bromley (Controlled Parking) (On Street Places) Order 2004 (Amendment No. 145) Order 2025

(Hayes Lane, Mead Way & Letchworth Drive, Bromley) T788

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley on 30th September 2025 made the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.

The Order will come into operation on 6th October 2025

The effect of the Orders would be to:

(a) Introduce various 'at any time' waiting restrictions as set out in Schedule 1,2 and 3 to this Notice.

(b) Convert existing free' parking bays to Resident Permit Holder Bays as per CPZ Zone C as set out in Schedule 4 to this Notice.

(c) Convert existing free' parking bay to Shared Resident Permit Holder & Pay by Phone Bay as per CPZ Zone C as set out in Schedule 5 to this Notice.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.

Copies of the Order may be inspected by during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at: Bromley Council, Churchill Court, Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1AS, or by emailing: TrafficManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk, until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date of the making the Order.

ANY person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that any requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE 1:-WAITING RESTRICTIONS No Waiting at Any Time: -

HAYES LANE, Bromley:

(a) east, (i) from a point 6.7m south of the common boundary of Nos. 89 & 89a to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 74 & 76

(ii) from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 109 & 111 to a point 6.5m north of the common boundary of Nos. 113 &115.

(b) west (i) from a point 22.3m north of the northern kerbline of Mead Way to a point 13.5m south of the southern kerbline of Mead Way.

MEAD WAY, Bromley:

(a) both, (i) from the junction of Hayes Lane to a point 26m west of that junction. SCHEDULE 2: - WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Operating Monday to Saturday between 8:00am and 6:30pm: -

HAYES LANE, Bromley:

(a) west, (i) from the common boundary of Nos. 54 & 56 to a point 6.4m south of the common boundary of Nos. 74 & 76

(b) east (i) from a point 5.6m south of the common boundary of Nos. 105a & 107 to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 109 & 111.

SCHEDULE 3: - WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Operating Saturday only between 8:00am and 6:30pm: -

HAYES LANE, Bromley:

(a) east (i) from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 74 & 76 to a point 5.6m south of the common boundary of Nos. 105a & 107.

SCHEDULE 4: - RESIDENT PERMIT HOLDER PARKING BAY

Permit Holders Only Mon-Sat noon – 2:00pm: -

LETCHWORTH DRIVE, Bromley:

(a) north (i) from a point 54m west of the western kerbline of Hayes Lane westward for 16.5 m. (ii) from a point 8m east of the eastern kerbline of Letchworth Close eastward for 21 m.

SCHEDULE 5: - SHARED RESIDENT PERMIT HOLDER PARKING & PAY BY PHONE BAY

Charge: £0.90 per hour Max Stay: No Max Stay No Return: n/a 8:30am to 6:30pm on Monday to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays:

LETCHWORTH DRIVE, Bromley:

(a) south (i) from a point 15m west of the western kerbline of Hayes Lane westward for 45m.
