What is happening?

PROPOSED DISABLED PARKING PLACES BATCH 2025-02, VARIOUS ROADS THE HARINGEY (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.) ORDER 202

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other powers.

The General Effects of the Orders would be:

(i) To introduce Dedicated Disabled Parking Bays, operating at any time, measuring a length of 6.6 metres, outside (unless stated otherwise) the following properties in the London Borough of Haringey:

  • No.13 Spigurnell Road N17

  • No.138 Clonmell Road N17

  • flats 1–12 at No.1 Avenue Road N6

  • No.260/262 Hermitage Road N4

  • No.134 Harringay Road N15

  • No.30 Birkbeck Road N17

  • No.26 Forfar Road N22

  • No.10/12 Broadwater Road N17

  • No.21 to 43 Tiverton Road N15 (adjacent to existing single yellow line)

  • No.24 Drayton Road N17

  • No.15 Moselle Avenue N22

  • No.32 Spencer Road N17

  • No.18 De Quincey Road N17

  • No.14 Coniston Road N17

  • No.33 (Civica building) Clarendon Road N8 (at northern end of parking bays)

(ii) To convert existing Disabled Bays to Dedicated Disabled parking bays, outside (unless stated otherwise) the following properties in the London Borough of Haringey:

  • No.121 Gospatrick Road N17

The Dedicated Disabled Parking Bays would specifically be for the use of the permit holder for which it would be authorised. No other permit or blue badge would be valid for use within the proposed parking place except for the permit for which it was issued.

(iii) To revoke the relevant underlying Controlled Parking Zone restrictions at the locations mentioned in Section 2(i) of this notice.

(iv) To make map-based changes on the following roads to ensure the Council’s internal map-based records match the restrictions on the ground (no changes will be made to the restrictions on site):

  1. Extend the double yellow lines outside No.121 Gospatrick Road N17 west by approximately 1.5 metres.

  2. Relocate the single yellow line outside No.21 to 43 Tiverton Road N15 north by approximately 1.2 metres and shorten the adjacent resident permit holders only bay by the same length.

  3. Relocate the existing disabled parking bay from outside No.30 to No.28 on Drayton Road N17

  4. To formalise the existing dedicated disabled parking bay in the lay-by between Braebern Mansions and Avalon Mansions on Mary Neuner Road N8.

(v) To revoke disabled parking bays outside No.23–27 Berners Road N22 and reinstate shared use resident permit holders/pay by phone parking.

A copy of the proposed Orders, a copy of this notice, a copy of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the proposed Orders and plan(s) showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be viewed via the online consultation portal https://consultation.appyway.com/haringey

. Alternatively, an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect these documents during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR. Appointments to inspect the documents will be available until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders.
