What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

STATION LANE, KIRBY BELLARS

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 01/11/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Network Rail to undertake level crossing maintenance. The proposed diversion route will be via: Station Ln, Main Rd, Leicester Rd, Kirby Bellars; Leicester Rd & Wilton Rd A607, Asfordby Rd, Melton Mowbray; A6006, Main Rd, Main St, Asfordby; Station Ln, Kirby Bellars & vice versa.

Station Ln, Kirby Bellars approx. 50m either side of the level crossing.

SKERRY LANE, MUSTON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 28/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Network Rail to undertake a bridge structural inspection. There is no diversion route available at this location.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

The Order will come into force on 06/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake footway & carriageway surface repair works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 10/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway resurfacing scheme. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

THORPE SATCHVILLE ROAD, KIRBY BELLARS

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 09/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 2 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 days to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT to undertake pole replacement work. The proposed diversion route will be via: Ashby Folville Rd, Station Rd, Kirby Rd, Great Dalby; Great Dalby Rd, Leicester Rd A607, Thorpe Satchville Rd, Kirby Bellars & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake a carriageway resurfacing scheme & highway drainage work. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

Hose Ln, Long Clawson; Penn Ln, Main St, Stathern; Cromwell Rd, Melton Mowbray – for their entire lengths. Mill Hill, Stathern from the Main St boundary up to the Jct of Church Ln. Stonesby Rd, Saltby from property No. 22 due East up to the Main St Jct.

Main St, Stathern; Cromwell Rd, Melton Mowbray – for their entire lengths on both sides of the road.

GADDESBY LANE, ROTHERBY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 08/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 5 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT to undertake telegraph pole replacement works. The proposed diversion route will be via: A607, Gaddesby Rd, Rearsby; Rearsby Rd, Main St, Park Hill, Rotherby Ln, Gaddesby; Gaddesby Ln, Rotherby & vice versa.

FOOTPATH F54/1, CROXTON KERRIAL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025 EXTENSION NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 20/03/2025 and which came into effect on 03/04/2025 will be continued in force until 03/04/2027, or until the works have been completed. The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure of that footpath as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The footpath is being closed for public safety until the new footpath route is built within the development.
