Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Brockley Lane, Backwell, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 29th September 2025

Notice is hereby given that the North Somerset Council under section 14(1), (a) and in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended will, by virtue of this Notice for a period of up to 5 days commencing on the 29th September 2025, close, temporarily to vehicles the length of roads specified in the schedule to this notice.

The closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days in duration between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

The above restriction is necessary to complete pre-surface dressing patching.

Schedule - Brockley Lane for full extents.

Alternative routes - Brockley Lane - A370 Main Road, Chelvey Road and vice-versa.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

B3124 Castle Road, Clevedon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 24th November 2025 Ref: T25-57

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 24th November 2025 anticipated to be of 2 days. The working hours will be 8:00am to 5:00pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - B3124 Castle Road from the junction of The Avenue to the junction of Argyle Road.

Alternative routes - B3124 Castle Road - B3124 Wellington Terrace, B3124 Marine Hill, B3130 Hill Road, B3130 Bellevue Road, B3130 Elton Road, Old Church Road, B3130 Old Street, B3124 Walton Road, B3124 Holly Lane, B3124 Castle Road (part unaffected) and vice-versa.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Woodhill Avenue, Portishead, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 16th December 2025 Ref: SW25.26-166

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for electricity works to replace substation.

This order will become operative on the 16th December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Brook Gate, Long Ashton, North Somerset Temporary One-Way Restriction Order 2025

Date coming into force: 3rd November 2025 Ref: SW25.26-168

Will be to restrict, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the restricted section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for connection to existing water main and lay approx. 137m of main.

This order will become operative on the 3rd November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 47 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Brook Gate traffic will be restricted from proceeding Westbound from outside 13 Brook Gate to junction with Colliters Way.

Clevedon Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 17th December 2025 Ref: SW25.26-171

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a road closure required for pole replacement.

This order will become operative on the 17th December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath LA13.26, Nailsea, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into force: 16th October 2025 Ref: SW25.26-173

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required in the interests of public safety due to unsafe crossing blocks and works by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd at the Grants Mill rail crossing.

This order will become operative on the 16th October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of no more than 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order, the effect of which:

Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 6th October 2025 Ref: T25-45

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 6th October 2025, anticipated to be of 2 working days.

The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton between Fenswood Farm and Hospital Road.

Alternative routes - Weston Road, Gatcombe Lane, Clevedon Road, Barrow Street, Hern Lane, and vice-versa.

Walton Street, Walton-in-Gordano, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 6th October 2025 Ref: T25-48

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 6th October 2025, anticipated to be of 5 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Walton Street, Walton-in-Gordano entire extents.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Station Road, Flax Bourton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13th October 2025 Ref: SW25.26-114

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out jetting and cleaning works of existing culvert.

This order will become operative on the 13th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 10:00pm and 6:00am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Priory Walk, Portbury, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into force: 15th October 2025 Ref: SW25.26-129

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide safe working area for engineers to excavate and provide new ducting in footpath to provide service to customer.

This order will become operative on the 15th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of period of 6 hours in duration between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Battery Lane, Portishead, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 16th October 2025 Ref: SW25.26-130

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to test a pole.

This order will become operative on the 16th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Mendip Close, Yatton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13th October 2025 Ref: SW25.26-144

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to excavate and lay 4m of new main and connect to existing main.

This order will become operative on the 13th October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 9 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
