PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF A 20 M.P.H. LIMIT AT THE SOUTHGATE AREA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make The Enfield (20 mph speed limit) Traffic Order 2025 under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Orders, would be:
(a) To provide a 20mph speed limit over the length of road as specified in the table below.

Cannon Hill | From the junction with Aldermans Hill to the entry and exit of the roundabout with The Green. |
The Green | From the entry and exit of the roundabout to the point where The Green becomes the High Street. |
High Street | From the point where High Street begins at The Green to the entry and exit of Southgate Circus |

Mayfield Avenue | Entire length |
Pruden Close | Entire length |
The Close | Entire length |
Blagden’s Lane | Entire length |

Leigh Hunt Drive | Entire length |
Ashfield Parade | Entire length |
Burleigh Gardens | From junction with Ashfield Parade to Borough boundary in line with the boundary wall of number 88 Burleigh Gardens |
Crown Lane | Entire length |
Chase Side | From the entry and exit of Southgate Circus to the junction with Chase Way |
Southgate Circus | Entire length |
Tudor Road | Entire length |
Winchmore Hill Road | From the entry and exit of Southgate Circus to the western boundary of property number 40 Winchmore Hill Road. |
Pickard Close | Entire length |
Chase Road | From the junction with Winchmore Hill Road to a point in line with the boundary wall at number 59 Hillside Grove |
The Borne | From its junction with Southgate Circus to the junction with Queen Elizabeth Drive |
Grange Gardens | Entire length |

Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make any other representations must do so by midnight on 26 October 2025. Any such objection or any representation must be in writing, quoting reference TG52/1604, and must state the grounds on which it is made. Objections or representations can be made in any of the following ways:
