PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF A 20 M.P.H. LIMIT AT THE SOUTHGATE AREA

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) propose to make The Enfield (20 mph speed limit) Traffic Order 2025 under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

  2. The general effect of the Orders, would be:

    (a) To provide a 20mph speed limit over the length of road as specified in the table below.

  1. A copy of the proposed Orders, plan and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive or online at:

    Copies of the notice, Orders and statement of reasons can also be obtained by emailing journeysandplaces@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to the same (quoting reference TG52/1604) at:

    Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD.

  2. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make any other representations must do so by midnight on 26 October 2025. Any such objection or any representation must be in writing, quoting reference TG52/1604, and must state the grounds on which it is made. Objections or representations can be made in any of the following ways:
