Devon, Temporary Road Closure Due To Excavation Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (Temporary Restriction) (Venlake Lane, Uplyme) Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order.

From 21/10/25 for a maximum of 18 months.

Anticipated Finish 27/10/25.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Venlake Lane, Uplyme.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Diversion Route Runs Through Devon & Dorset. Diversion Route - Gore Lane, To Junction A3052/A35 - Along A35

Along Sidmouth Road, Pound Street To Junction Of A3052 Up Along Uplyme Road, A3070 Back To Venlake Lane & Vice Versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable 1 Joint Hole In Tarmac Road & 43m Trenching In Tarmac Footway & Modular Footway For New Supply.
