What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING BOUNDARY ROAD, CHATHAM ME4 6UW (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.37) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 7 October 2025 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 51, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the amendment order is to remove the parking bay outside No.143 to accommodate a 5.6-metre dropped kerb (vehicle crossing) for driveway access. Permit holders sign and post are to be relocated.

Copies of the order and associated documents can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design Team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.

Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any instrument made under that act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE OF MAKING GRAIN ROAD, HIGH STREET – LOWER STOKE

The Medway Council (Various Areas) (Waiting Restrictions) (Amendment No.15) order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 7 October 2025 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2, 4 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the amendment order is to formalise the existing lengths of double yellow lines by the Nags Head public house; originally installed under an experimental traffic order (i.e. to make the provisions of that traffic order permanent, making no material changes).

1)  Grain Road, Lower Stoke
South-west side, 10.5m south-eastwards from the High Street junction outside the public house;

2) High Street, Lower Stoke

(a)  South-west side, 8m north-westwards from the south-west / north-east section of the High Street;  

(b)  North-west side, 24.5m south-westwards from the south-west / north-east section of the High Street;  

(c) South-east side, 14m south-westwards from the Grain Road junction.
