MERESBOROUGH ROAD, RAINHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Meresborough Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Moor Street and for a distance of 60 metres in a southerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Moor Street, South Bush Lane, Meresborough Land and Meresborough Road.

This order will come into force on Monday, 27 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 27 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

GILLINGHAM & BROMPTON (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.XX) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

Leslie Road, Gillingham ME7 1QY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council proposes to make the above-mentioned order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the amendment order will be to adjust the parking bay in Leslie Road, alongside No1 Baden Road, to accommodate a 5.6-metre dropped kerb (vehicle crossing) for access to off-road parking.

Copies of the order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order can be inspected at Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except for bank and public holidays.

Alternatively, electronic copies of the documents can be requested by sending an email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk on the understanding requests may take up to 5 working days to be processed and completed. Any objections or other representations about the proposed order should be sent in writing by email to TROconsult@medway.gov.uk or by post to Parking Design Team at the address specified in the paragraph below or by Friday, 31 October 2025, stating name, address and the grounds for objection or support. NAPIER ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Napier Road, Gillingham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontages of 40–46 Napier Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Gillingham Road, Nelson Road and Napier Road in both directions.

This order will come into force on Monday, 20 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

EDWIN ROAD, RAINHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable to enable water supply works to be carried out

Edwin Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 18A Edwin Road, Rainham. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Edwin Road, Marshall Road, London Road and Edwin Road in both directions.

This order will come into force on Wednesday, 12 November 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 12 November 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

STATION ROAD, CUXTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to replace ballast, rails and sleepers through the level crossing

Station Road, Cuxton - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between 20 metres either side of the level crossing. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No diversion is available. Emergency access will be maintained.

This order will come into force on Saturday, 8 November 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on Saturday, 8 November and are programmed for completion within two days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

COOLING STREET, CLIFFE AND CLIFFE WOODS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a detailed bridge inspection to be carried out

Cooling Street, Cliffe and Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between points 20 metres either side of the railway bridge. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Cooling Street, Cooling Road, Station Road (B2000), Merryboys Road, Cooling Common and back to Cooling Street in both directions.

This order will come into force on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 21 October, 2025 and are programmed for completion within one night (10pm–6am). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NOTICE OF MAKING BOUNDARY ROAD, CHATHAM ME4 6UW (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.37) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 7 October 2025 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 51, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the amendment order is to remove the parking bay outside No.143 to accommodate a 5.6-metre dropped kerb (vehicle crossing) for driveway access. Permit holders sign and post are to be relocated.

Copies of the order and associated documents can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design Team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.

Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any instrument made under that act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
