What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC145801238: The City of Manchester (Temperance Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & One-Way Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Temperance Street, Hoyle Street & Neild Street . The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate events at Mayfield Depot. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th October 2025 to 1st January 2026. The order shall come into operation on 17th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 3rd October 2025. 

ORDER NO. MCC145821412: The City of Manchester (Langland Close , Charlestown Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrian traffic on Langland Close, from Leconfield Drive to 2 Langland Close. The alternative routes for pedestrian traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate utility works . It is expected that the works will be in progress from 14th October 2025 to 20th October 2025. The order shall come into operation on 14th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of six months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
