Douglas Road - Temporary Road Closure For Water Apparatus Renewal
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE DOUGLAS ROAD, LONG EATON
WHEN: 21 October to 25 October 2025 (08:00 to 16:00)
WHERE: Douglas Road, Long Eaton outside No. 11.
REASON: To facilitate water apparatus renewal.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road, Briar Gate, Canal Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
