Temporary Closure of Crowcombe Road and Road Through Over Stowey

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Crowcombe Road - from the junction with Bincombe Combe, south-westwards for a distance of 289 metres and Road Through Over Stowey - from the junction with South Lane To Over Stowey to the junction with Bincombe Combe. A total distance of 1481 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways (as and when signed on site).

Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 14th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 20th October 2025 and last until 29th October 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 10 days.
