What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991

WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC)
(VARIOUS ROADS) ORDER No.1 OCTOBER 2025



Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in the lengths of:

* QUESLETT ROAD SERVICE ROAD, PHEASEY that is situated outside Nos.366 and 368. (07:00 – 18:00) (Monday 13 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Repair a defective frame and cover.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.

* VICTOR STREET, WALSALL that is situated at its junction with Caldmore Green. (Monday 13 October 2025 to Friday 24 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

* CROOK LANE, PHEASEY that is situated from its junction with Barr Lakes Lane to its junction with B4151 Sutton Road. (09:30 – 15:30) (Monday 13 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council.

* BRIDLE LANE, STREETLY that is situated from its junction with A452 Chester Road to its junction with Ferndale Road. (09:30 – 15:00) (Thursday 16 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Reactive highway works.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council.

* ALLENS LANE, PELSALL that is situated from its junction with Commonside to its junction with Goscote Road. (09:30 – 15:30) (Monday 24 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Repair a defective frame and cover.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.

* OLD HALL LANE, PHEASEY that is situated from its junction with B4154 Beacon Road to its junction with Pinfold Lane. (07:00 on Saturday 25 October 2025 to 11:59 on Wednesday 29
October 2025).
Reason for Order: Installation of ducting.

* THORPE ROAD, WALSALL that is situated at its junction with West Bromwich Street. (Monday 27 October 2025 Friday 7 November 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main renewal scheme.
Works on behalf of: Cadent Gas.

* ARKWRIGHT ROAD that is situated at its junction with Stephenson Avenue (Wednesday 15 October 2025 to Friday 17 October 2025).
* SIMPSON ROAD that is situated at its junction with Stephenson Avenue (Monday 20 October 2025 to Wednesday 22 October 2025).
* EDISON ROAD that is situated at its junction with Stephenson Avenue (Wednesday 22 October 2025 to Friday 24 October 2025).
* LISTER ROAD that is situated at its junction with Stephenson Avenue (Monday 3 November 2025 to Tuesday 4 November 2025).
* REMINGTON ROAD that is situated at its junction with Stephenson Avenue (Wednesday 5 November 2025 to Thursday 6 November 2025).
Reason for Order: HV cable installation.
Works on behalf of: National Grid.

* OLD PARK ROAD, DARLASTON that is situated from its junction with Joynson Street to its junction with School Street. (08:00 – 18:00 only) (Saturday 18 October 2025, Saturday 25
October 2025 to Sunday 26 October 2025, Saturday 1 November 2025 to Sunday 2 November 2025 and Saturday 15 November 2025).
Reason for Order: Telecommunications mast replacement.
Works on behalf of: Cellnex.

This Order will come into operation on Monday 13 October 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
