What is happening?

Temporary Closure of John Beales Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along John Beales Hill - from outside property named Grey Gables to outside property named Beales House, John Beales Hill. A total distance of 39 metres.

This Order will enable Barr Engineering Ltd to carry out pole installation works on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 16th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 21st October 2025 and last until 21st October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 10 hours.
