Steart Avenue, Temporary Road Closure Due To Ducting Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Temporary Closure of Steart Close
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Steart Close - from 40 metres north of the junction with Steart Avenue, northwards for a total distance of 28 metres. This Order will enable Open reach to carry out ducting works.
The Order becomes effective on 14th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 20th October 2025 and last until 21st October 2025 between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00 for a total of 2 days.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
