What is happening?

BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

SANDBANKS ROAD, POOLE – SEWAGE WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT: Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE: Sandbanks Road from its junction with Turks Lane to its junction with Whitecliff Road

WHY: Sewage works by Wessex Water

WHEN: Anticipated dates 20 October 2025 until 5 December 2025

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION: Via Sandbanks Road, Commercial Road, Bournemouth Road, Poole Road, The Avenue, Pinecliff Road, Haven Road, Shore Road

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
