High Street/Clanfield Road & Mercury Lane, East Meon - Temporary Road Closures due to fibre optic cabling
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: High Street/Clanfield Road between its junction with Church Street and its junction with Hyden Farm Lane. Mercury Lane between its junction with Hyden Farm Lane and its junction with Hyden Wood.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Droxford Road, Coombe Road Hyden Farm Lane, Hambledon Road, South Lane, East Meon Road, Hyden Wood
DURATION OF ORDER: from 20th October 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working between the hours 07:00 – 19:00). The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for CCN Communications to carry out excavation for the installation of fibre optic cabling. CCN Communications will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
