What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

(ON-STREET WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING PLACES)
ORDER 2024 (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Calderdale (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) intends to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to revoke an existing length of ‘No waiting at any time’ waiting restrictions on Bridge Street to enable the carriageway to be converted to footway to allow the construction of a new access ramp and steps to Todmorden Town Hall.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including the statement of reasons for proposing it and plans showing the affected roads, are available for inspection at Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays. Copies of the documents can be viewed on the Council’s website at: https://new.calderdale.gov.uk/streets-and-transport/transport-initiatives/tro/current-tro/todmorden-town-hallhighway-changes Alternatively, documents can be made available on request via email (ProposedTRO@calderdale. gov.uk) or telephone 01422 288001 or 288002.

If you wish to object to or make a representation to any part of the proposed Order, you must send the grounds for your objection or support in writing to reach the Council by not later than 23 October 2025 to either proposedtro@calderdale. gov.uk or Highways and Transportation, C/O The Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax, HX1 1UJ, FAO: Parking Services. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
