What is happening?

(D172/6 CRICHNESS & D173/6 CRICHNESS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (D172/6 Crichness & D173/6 Crichness) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 6 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 31 December 2025. The Order is required for Crystal Rig Wind Farm Operations.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads on the dates specified:
(a) Closure 1:
 the D173/6 at Crichness - from 6 October 2025 to 20 October 2025. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D173/6, B6355, D172/6
and D173/6 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
(b) Closure 2:
 the D172/6 at Crichness - from 6 October 2025 to 20 October 2025. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D172/6, B6355, D173/6
and D172/6 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
(c) Closure 3:
 the D172/6 at Crichness - from 21 October 2025 to 31st December 2025. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D172/6, D202, C123, C121, C109, C110, C106, C107, B6355 and D172/6 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Closure 1 will be completed before Closure 2 commences.
