What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(LAWNMARKET AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION
AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/127

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate removal and installation of road markings and traffic signs works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of Upper Bow at Lawnmarket; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of: (i) Bank St, both sides, from the extended northern kerbline of St Giles St to 25m from the extended southern kerbline with Lawnmarket & (ii) Johnston Ter, both sides, from the east side of the Castle Wynd Steps north-eastwards to Lawnmarket.; Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The bus lane & one-way order on Johnston Ter will be suspended for the duration of this order. The Order shall have effect from 03/10/25 to 7/11/25.
