ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(Mabgate, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That because sewer connection works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Mabgate, Leeds in for a distance of approximately 200m from its junction with Argyle Road. In addition, the existing One-Way traffic flow restriction on Mabgate will be suspended, so that traffic may travel in both directions on Mabgate between Skinner Lane and Argyle Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Mabgate, Bell Street, A61, Regent Street & Skinner Lane. The Order is intended to come into operation on Saturday 11th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 26th October 2025. The closure will be in place between 06:00 hours and 20:00 hours, weekends only.

(Marsh Lane & Saxton Lane Footways, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because manhole construction works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall proceed on foot along Marsh Lane and Saxton Lane footways, Leeds in the Burmantofts & Richmond Hill Ward, from the junction of Saxton Lane and Foundry Street, to the junction of Marsh Lane (southbound carriageway) and Mill Street. A diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via: Marsh Lane, Duke Street, Brick Street and vice versa, at traffic lights, signposted on site. The Order is intended to come into operation on Saturday 25th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because Active Travel works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Woodhouse Street, Woodhouse, Leeds, at its junction with Headingley Lane. Diversionary routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 20th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Suspension of Parking Bays) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because tower cranage works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: 1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Tower House Street and Brunswick Terrace, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward, from the junction of Tower House Street and Merrion Way, to where the rising bollards are situated at the side of Arena Point on Brunswick Terrace. 2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to park in the 7 (seven) disabled bays located on Tower House Street, Leeds. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained, including access to Jacob Street. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 27th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to take place from Monday 27th October 2025 until Saturday 1st November 2025. If the works are unable to take place as planned, however, they will instead take place on either 3rd to 8th November or 10th to 15th November 2025. The road closure will be in place between 06:00 hours and 18:00 hrs only each day. The suspension of the disabled bays will be in place for 24 hours on each day, apart from 29th October 2025 when there is an event at Leeds Arena. The disabled bays will be available from 18:00 hours until 06:00 on Thursday 30th October 2025 onwards. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works to installation water mains are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to: 1. Travel along Windmill Lane, Yeadon, between its junctions with High Street and Grange Avenue. 2. Travel along Windmill Lane, Yeadon, between its junctions with Green Lane and Ackworth Crescent 3. Access Windmill Lane from its junction with South View Terrace. 4. Access Windmill Lane from its junction with Football. Diversionary routes for vehicles affected by the closures will be available. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 27th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for works as part of the Yorkshire Water storm overflow scheme; Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Millshaw, Beeston, in an eastbound direction between its junctions with Ring Road Beeston and Millshaw Business Park. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Ring Road Beeston, Dewsbury Road, Old Lane, Town Street, Millshaw. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 20th October 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Definitive Footpath Wetherby No.8)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN due to works to construct a new housing development, on or near the under mentioned footpath, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: No person shall proceed on foot along Definitive Footpath Wetherby No.8; for a distance of approximately 394 metres, between its junctions between its junctions with B1224 and Carr Lane. A Diversionary route for pedestrians will be available via Definitive Footpath Wetherby 43, Definitive Bridleway Wetherby 9, Definitive Bridleway Wetherby 6 and Definitive Bridleway Wetherby 7; before re-joining Wetherby Definitive Footpath 8 (and vice versa). The Order shall come into operation on Tuesday 7th October 2025 and will remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. Section 90c Highways Act 1980 – Traffic Calming Measures
Manston Lane, Crossgates

Leeds City Council proposes to implement traffic calming improvements and is required under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, to place at appropriate points on the highway concerned, a Notice of their proposals. The proposals comprise of the provision of one bituminous speed table, being approximately 9 metres in length and laid 100 millimetres above the carriageway level, to be located on Manston Lane; a distance of 25 metres east of its junction with Sandleas Way. (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2025 – Introduction of District
Car Park Charges: Barleyhill Road, Garforth; Fink Hill, Horsforth;

Leeds City Council has today made the above Order under the powers contained in Sections 1, 2, 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and in pursuance of the powers contained in Section 73 and Schedule 7 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other powers so enabling. The effect of the Order, which will come into effect on Monday 6th October 2025, is to introduce the following the parking charges at the car parks listed below, to operate between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm (Monday to Saturdays inclusive).

No parking charge will apply to Disabled Persons Badge Holders or Motor Cycles and the maximum period for which vehicles may wait is 23 hours per day. The classes of vehicles eligible to park within the above car parks are; all motor vehicles (not having a trailer attached) the weight of which does not exceed 3.5 tonnes maximum gross weight, mobility vehicles and motor cycles. If you wish to object or question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date of making, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
