What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL
(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND ON STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016)
AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 ORDER 2025
RECTORY STREET, CASTLEFORD
The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which in relation to Rectory Street, Castleford, is to vary the Council of the City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions And Street Parking Places) (Consolidation Order 2016) by:-
1. Introducing lengths of No Waiting At Any Time, No Loading At Any Time and Loading Only on the following road:-
RECTORY STREET, CASTLEFORD
The order comes into force on the 13th October 2025. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the
Order was made (ie. 29th September 2025) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
