Kirkgate Area - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Kirkgate,
Knaresborough Order 2025, No. 363 We intend to make this Order to
prohibit any vehicle from using the footpath at HAY1/9, Knaresborough
for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 22/10/25
to 23/10/25 due to detailed bridge inspection. However, the max duration
of this order is until 22/10/26. The closure period will be indicated by
traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Common Lane, Beal Order 2025,
No. 365 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using
Common Lane, Beal for a temporary period due to Yorkshire Water
works to install a clean water main (subject to access to premises)
between 20/10/25 & 01/12/25, due to works. The closure period will be
indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking,
Amendment No 62, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that on 26/09/25
The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to
(3), 4(2), 32(1) and 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and
Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act and under the Traffic Management
Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County
Council (Prohibition of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking)
(District of Selby ) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the
restrictions specified in the table below: Removal of Waiting limited
Sunday to Saturday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm to no longer than 45
minutes return prohibited within 1 hour. Tadcaster, York Road, South
side from a point 110m east of Oxton Lane to a point 170m east of Oxton
Lane. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 06/10/26,
together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at
County Hall, Northallerton and at Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road,
Tadcaster, LS24 9JG during normal office hours from 02/10/25 to
07/11/25 and also viewed online at

www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question
the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the
grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any
requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been
complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of
26/09/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
