B7029 CLELAND ROAD & B7029 CHAPELKNOWE ROAD, CARFIN

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

On 22 September 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the abovenamed Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 , as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway and footway resurfacing) on the undernoted locations.

B7029 Cleland Road, Carfin From its junction with B7066 Newarthill Road eastwards to B7029 Chapelknowe Road a distance of 100m or thereby
B7029 Chapelknowe Road, Carfin From B7029 Cleland Road eastwards for a distance of 500m or thereby (vehicular access to BOC premises)

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing to access the east side of the closure should proceed via the B7066 Newarthill Road, B7066 Carfin Road, B7066 High Street, B7066 Motherwell Road, A73 Carlisle Road, B7029 Bellside Road, B7029 Main Street, B7029 Omoa Road and B7029 Chapelknowe Road.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing to access the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure. The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 6 October 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 26 October 2025.
