Norfolk, Continuation Of Temporary Closures Due To Forest Thinning Works

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Sections 14(1) and 15(5)

Notice is given that the Secretary of State for Transport has approved the continuation in force for the period set out below of an Order made by the Norfolk County Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting the use by the public of

  1. Shouldham Footpath 6 from its junction with U21335 Westgate Street to its junction with Shouldham Footpath 5 and;

  2. Shouldham Footpath 3 from its junction with Shouldham Footpath 7 for 227m northwards and;

  3. Shouldham Footpath 4 from its junction with Shouldham Footpath 5 for 290m westwards and;

  4. Shouldham Footpath 3 from its north-western end point for 100m south eastwards and;

  5. Shouldham Bridleway 1 from its junction with U21384 Petticoat Lane for 100m southwards and;

  6. Shouldham Bridleway 2 from 200m west of its junction with Wormegay Restricted Byway 7 for 270m westwards in the Parish of Shouldham owing to forest thinning works to allow safe passage for pedestrians by Forestry England.

    Date of Original Order: 29th August 2025.

    Previous restriction period: 3rd September 2025 to 17th October 2025.

    Period of extension: 18th October 2025 to 5th November 2025.

    Alternative route is via:

  7. Shouldham Footpath 6, Shouldham Footpath 3, C47 Lynn Road, U21335 Westgate Street;

  8. Shouldham Footpath 7, U21335 Westgate Street, Shouldham Footpath 6, Shouldham Footpath 3;

  9. Shouldham Footpath 4, Shouldham Footpath 1, U21325 Westbrigg Drive, U21325 Craven Lane, C55 Castle Road, Wormegay Bridleway 3, U21384 Petticoat Lane, Shouldham Bridleway 1, Shouldham Footpath 17, Shouldham Footpath 3.

Persons who contravene the Order will be liable, on conviction, to a fine.
