What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U1519 REEDS BUILDINGS, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1519 Reeds Buildings, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Northgate Street for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Northgate Street, Mark Jennings Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/10/2025 - 10/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE C546 GREAT GREEN, THURSTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C546 Great Green, Thurston from the junction with Orchard Lane to Summertine to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Great Green, Road from A1088 to Thurston, Ixworth Road, Bull Road, Fen Road, Church Hill, Pakenham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/10/2025 - 26/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
