Grangewood, Swadlincote - Temporary Road Closure For Safe Working Area For Access To Telecommunications Poles
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE GRANGEWOOD, SWADLINCOTE
WHEN: 20 October 2025 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Grangewood, Swadlincote from its Jct. with Gunby Hill for an approx. distance of 173m west.
REASON: To facilitate safe working area for access to telecommunications poles.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Gunby Hill, Grangewood Road, Grangewood and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon asthe work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
