Longford Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Water Main Renewal
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE LONGFORD LANE, LONGFORD
WHEN: 20 October to 28 November 2025
WHERE: Longford Lane, Longford - Phase1a: for a distance of 400m south east from Jct. with Thurvaston Lane. Phase1b: for a distance of 100m west from Jct. with Cropper Lane.
REASON: To facilitate water main renewal.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Longford Lane, Main Street, Long Lane, Cropper Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re- open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
