What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U1200, LOW GELTBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U1200, Low Geltbridge, from a point approx. 90m south east of its junction with the U1107, extending in an overall southerly direction for approx. 160m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U1200, U1199 Townhead to Hayton, U1201 and the A69.

The Order will come into operation on 15 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
