What is happening?

Order 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 17 metre length of West Park Lane, Sedgefield to the side of Number 75 West End to enable gas main replacement works to be undertaken.

Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic from the south side of the closure in an easterly direction on West End, then north on North End, then south on West Park Lane to northern end of closure and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months.

The proposed works are to commence from 8am on Monday 13/10/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 4 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
